Anyone know this bayonet's origin?

Hi all, can anyone id this bayonet?
It was passed to me by my father and he claimed it was (maybe) brought by a soldier/s who served in
Transvaal, Ladysmith, Orange free State, Tugela heights, Cape Colony,
S.Africa 1901,1902 in the Border Reg't. Or, another who was K.I.A at the
Battle of Mons.
The bayonet has RFI 'scratched' on the blade, the blade is 6 1/2" long with
a 3 7/8" handle, the handle appears to be bakelite?
The gun mount has I.O.F and T.C.W stamped on it (roughly), also the number '1'.
The mount is 3 1/4" long and the diameter of the muzzle holes is 11/16", it
hooks into the handle bottom and is secured by a spring loaded pin to the
hilt. I have scoured the net with no joy. Perhaps you can shed some light?
There is no scabbard.

Never seen anything like that. RFI stands for Rifle Factory Ishapore. IOF Indian Ordnance Factories. That is all I know

Thanks for your reply. The R.F.I is only etched roughly by hand on the blade by the hilt. I.O.F. may jog some minds. I.ve never found that reference before so thanks for that.

I´ve never seen something like this in any site or catalogue..

Guess some kind of trench knife with adapter to fix it into barrel - but which rifle?

I'm still looking! It would appear to be rare to find, there are a few enfield bayonets with similar appearances but nothing solid to go on just yet. Am I to believe I.O.F or R.F.I only supplied to the British forces? It would save me looking to other countries. The outer diameter of the barrel it fits would be less than 11/16" (17.5mm) although the barrel may be much less I imagine it would be a close fit and so maybe someone knows guns of that outer diameter barrel?
