Bayonet Help

A friend found a Bayonet with the following markings: RE0389 and BK1948. Going to try to get him to send me a picture. Any ideas?

It's a Soviet bayo for the AKM rifle-the blade fits on the stud on the scabbard to become a wire cutter-the rubber sleeve on the scabbard and the bayo handle act as insulators if the wire is electrified. These are pretty common as they were made by the million for the USSR.

Unless it's a Tula made, then it's not common. There is a notch under the ring, does it have any marks on it? If so what kind of mark is it?
