Looks like a Pattern 1871 ELCHO for a Martini Henry but all the ones I’ve seen the blade flares towards the point. These are commonly faked. But I don’t know enough about them to say yay or nay. I’m sure there are folks here that can positively determine for you.
Dimensions:
The bayonet is 648 mm long.
The blade is 514 mm long.
The diameter of the ring is 21 mm.
The spring is on the left side of the handle.
Looks correct for the Snider Carbine of the NZ Armed Constabulary. These typically are marked with "9/81" being 1881 acceptance date of the NZ Government contract.
E47 Enfield inspection mark is also correct for this type. looks all good. Crossbar number is what is expected.
I wouldn't "clean" it if I were you.

Quite well known in New Zealand. When the British Imperial Regiments were withdrawn from New Zealand in the 1870's, the colonial government formed the "Armed Constabulary" to continue the pacifying war against Maori tribes that opposed the colonial government mainly over land issues. So this was really a combat force rather than a Police force.
