    Not a bayonet-its a mould/former for the leather scabbard for a bayonet ,most likely the British P07 type.

    Quite agree.

    Unusual thing to see.

    Can't help with the company "HW & S" although they did make Lewis gun tools and other parts for the British Army in the 1930s and 40s.

    That is a rarish bird to see, worth keeping and i would say a decent little price
