Can someone please identify this bayonet

My grandfather brought it back from the battle of the bulge, I would like to know what kind of rifle it came off of.

It is a typical WWII K98 bayonet and frog.

It looks to be in very good condition. There should be maker stamps
on the scabbard, and a 2 digit date on the blade spine.

If the scabbard and blade data are matching, it is more desireable.
