hi guys this is my latest addition to my bayonet collection, its a german saw back butchers bayonet i think, the maker waffenfabrik, mauser a.g oberndorf a.n with a date 17 on the spine under a w and crown, the maker is also stamped on the scabbard, overall condition is very good the scabbard has all the bluing intact and no dents, the blade as you can see is perfect, the grips are mint with no bits missing or bruising im over the moon with it as i only paid £95.00 inc postage deal of the week me thinks, just got to find a perfect frog to acompany this fine bayonet what do you think .
Hello Brooker345,
It looks like a damn good piece, great condition, at that price I think you robbed the seller. I bought the same model two weeks ago, paid 200 euro for the bayonet. It came with a frog and a couple of dents in the scabbard. Bayonet condition is comparable with yours. Its pictured in the Bayonet & Daggers forum. Take a look. You struck a good deal
Regards
Good grief...that is the cleanest example that I have ever seen.
