    Default German/Turkish bayonet

I have a bayonet that is possibly German, possibly Turkish. It has "AS.FA" on the hilt, and the serial "33855" on the crossguard. It has a few other markings, one on the bottom of the blade that is very faded. I don't know much else about it other than what I can see.

Hi Reg..welcome to the forum....this bayonet does not appear to be German..but I will let your thread remain until our Bayo Gents here can give a positive identification of it..before moving it to the World bayonets forum. Regards Larry

It is Turkish. All of these modified bayo's are classified as models of 1935. This one is cut down from a Turkish model 1887 or 1890.
