Hi Meg, welcome to the Forum.
I believe 'Sanderson' is an Australian marking, and the
scabbard will have a round knob on it. Quite common,
these were readily available in mid-1970's Toronto
at $5.00 apiece.........

The mark above the x looks like a inspection mark, I have a 1917 Sanderson bayonet will have a look if i have a similar mark.
I believe Sanderson is a British maker although i have seen a in few that were in aussie service
