Default Identifying markings on a bayonet

    Hi All,

I have just bought a bayonet for a friend f mine as a birthday present and would llove to give him a bit more information on the markings, if anyone knows?

It is marked WEYERSBERG KIRSCHBAUM & Co SOLINGEN. The guard is stamped L8188 and the button on the scabbard is stamped what looks like A6392.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

The person I bought it from believes it is made for a Serbian Mauser, around WW1. They seemed quite sketchy so I didn't place much faith in it - maybe they were on the money?...they had no clue what the stamps meant though.

This bayonet looks like similar to serbian, but it could be Chile M1895 bayonet. When there is no other stamp.
