Identifying markings on a bayonet
Hi All,
I have just bought a bayonet for a friend f mine as a birthday present and would llove to give him a bit more information on the markings, if anyone knows?
It is marked WEYERSBERG KIRSCHBAUM & Co SOLINGEN. The guard is stamped L8188 and the button on the scabbard is stamped what looks like A6392.
Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Re: Identifying markings on a bayonet
The person I bought it from believes it is made for a Serbian Mauser, around WW1. They seemed quite sketchy so I didn't place much faith in it - maybe they were on the money?...they had no clue what the stamps meant though.

Re: Identifying markings on a bayonet
This bayonet looks like similar to serbian, but it could be Chile M1895 bayonet. When there is no other stamp.

Definitely Chilean.Serbian scabbard attachment is different (see picture).
