Nice Australian Lithgow SLR bayonet. The average digger in Vietnam would have been issued one of these. Some specialist troops would have used american M16 M7 bayonets.

I think the 60,000 Australian personnel deployed might argue that point, not forgetting the 500 who paid the ultimate sacrifice.

Aussie SLR bayous are generally unmarked......I have never come across one with any type of marking....
As for Australia not being a big factor in Vietnam, please present your evidence, the simple fact that any area the Australians operated in, dominating the area with aggressive patrolling effectively ceased VC activities in Australian AO's

It is an Aussie bayonet though, as i think you guys were the only ones to make it with rounded ends to the fullers!...

I wouldn't be surprised to be honest, I've handled quite a few in my time and this is the first I've seen with any kind of stamping......I've seen markings on the Argentinian version
