My grandfathers Bayo collection ID please #1
Article about: Ok so here is the second one. Total length is 20 inches with a blade of 16 inches. Has two marks on the blade and a 5 on the gaurd. So who is the maker and when was it made and for what and

Well checked it out and YEP that is what it is, Marks and the fullered groove on the forward rib also is there. Thanks for the help

Yep and this one does not have one either. All the others in his collection did but this one. Or as far as we have found yet. Still going through some of his stuff though.

Hello-also was the bayonet for the French Berthier rifle-length of the standard version was 15.75 inches but a shorter 13.25 inch version was produced in 1935-the blade of the long version was easily bent or broken-hard to find one in good condition given it was a major French production item for many decades.
