Need help with this knife please lads!

Here is a knife I bought with a Mk3 FS Knife which belonged to a WW2 Vet.
He has died so I am not sure what to make of this knife which he had during the War according to his daughter.
There are no markings on it at all
Any help greatly appreciated.

All I can say is that it seems to be a 'private purchase' knife.

The blade is a lot like the U.S. Navy Mk 1 sheath knife,
but appears to be more slender........

Is it me, or does the cross guard look custom made? Like Walkwolf said, most likely private purchase. There were so many compaines that produced hunting and sporting knives.......
