Old bayonets

I have some bayonets i found at grand fathers house he was in ww2 and one i can read cito-col others cant find much. Does anyone have any suggestions of what they might be? Thanks

Hi Russellfirm !

Top to bottom: French, German and Italian.

French Lebel 1886 model. It should have the maker in script on the top
of the blade. It looks like it's been cut-down/shortened at some point.

The German 98/05 is WWI. Italian 1891 Pattern Carcano, I believe
it is from WWII era.

Typical to find only a few numbers on the Italian one........
these are not heavily marked.

On the German bayonet there should also be a company name stamped
into the metal on the blade 'flat' or ricasso, near the grip or handle,
and a date marked on the top of the blade near the crossguard.
It's possible that they have been ground or polished off.

WWI German bayonets with a scabbard are normally about $120
to $150-ish I'd guess, in this condition, However, from closer inspection
of the photo, this one seems to have homemade wooden grips added
which reduces the value !

The French and Italian ones should go for less than above, IMO
but I am not that familiar with the prices of these.

Overall condition is important with bayonets. I've based the price on
what I have seen lately.

The first could be a german rework? how long is the blade, looks like shortened blade, the second SG98/05 has no origin grips, and the paint of scabbard is strange any stamps on pommel or crossgguard? the last Carcano have a replacement WW1 full metall scabbard.best regards,Andy

When possible please add detailed photo, it should be then a Airforce piece.Unfortunally the grips are reworked.

The maker is CITO-CÖLN, a rare maker.

It´s a pitty, that the condition of this 98/05 is such bad ...
