    Hi Marc, these are made in the smith & weasel factory in Taiwan just like most manufactured and many military issued blades such as CRKT, tops, gerber, etc... Same quality and same life time guarantee, just cheaper to produce, hence the price difference between the Ontario made M9 and these, thank you
    Marc, better send back your "Made in China -knife" and wait for an officially Army issued one !

    As suspected, the OP bayonet is a Chinese made copy.

    Those early Buck models with the large saw teeth
    are not your typical modern issues and are
    going to be rather expensive today.........

    @Marc, here´s an example of an Ontario made M9

    This pattern M9 was issued in the Military, also made for the "commercial" market.
    Note: the "bright" forest green" of handle and sheath.

    As you can see, the blade is heavilly greased with sticky cosmoline.
    Some collector´s mean, this is a sign such bayonets were manufactured and stored for the Army, (stored in Army magazines / storerooms).

    Thanks for those extra pictures Reibert. I now know what to look for. Might acually give this China copy to the father in law for chrissy as he goes hunting and will still make a alright hunting knife
