This is not a rare bayonet - this is something that has been bu**erd about by somebody at some point in the last 100 years or so.

i can see where this one was modified. mine looks nothing
like this! the blood runnels follow the shape of the blade.
the blade shows no sign of being altered. wally.

of course, no one can agree on every thing. the thing is i have had
this bayonet for a very long time. my family has a military history.
dating back before the civil war. one of my ancestors was a captain
(calvary) in the civil war 50 men in his command, south carolina.
i was in the vietnam war. wally.
