Scabbard bought at Antique store, need help identifying.

Article about: Hi everyone, I was recently at a antique store in Tucson Arizona and I picked up a scabbard. It has black leather and some sort of metal maybe brass at the ends. The scabbard has EB stamped

    Yes it could be too possible by pieces from late 30ies and WW2 period of which have a round button, unfortunally no visible leather stamps there, You should compare the dimmensions of mouth piece and end fitting piece.EB should be deciphered, maybe this would help too. b.r.Andy

    The leather has to be shrunken, it is warped and brittle. I was looking at some of the M879 bayonets and I’m not sure if it is or not. Thank you!

    That looks like it, but the only thing I don’t see is the stamps EB. Does the EB stand for something else like reissue? Thank you for helping!!!
