I got this Swiss Saw-tooth Short Sword in a buy with several other Swiss items. I have no idea what it was used for or what it is worth. If some one has any information it would be greatly appreciated.
TIA

Artilleriefaschinenmesser der eidgenössichen Ordonnanz M.1852 according to a German Edged Weapons Forum where they generally seem to know what they are talking about.
Addition - there was also a similar model 1840.
For some reason these photos did not show up in my first post
Agreed - Artillery short sword.
