Hello all,
A buddy of mine is going to an auction and ran across this and asked me what exactly it was. I don't know but I really would like to help. Can anyone please identify what this is exactly? Any feedback would be greatly appreciated and thanks in advance.

Additionally it's a private purchase model, and is probably earlier rather than later because it looks like the hilt is made of brass. Best Regards, Fred
