    A bayonet missing the grips.
An exeptional staff officer´s answer - it was very quick, quite precise and there is nothing to do with such answer

So, the Q-n stays - what type of bayo (country, model, e.t.c)??

Whatever type of bayonet it is, it has been damaged to the point of 'not worth much'.........

Thanks, DIMAS, that has to be right answer

I had all the time feeling that this blade is very familiar but this strange handle which is not like in all the k98 bayos was confusing me...
Now its clear - off course it is german dress bayonet with his well-known blade and this strange handle is simply missing his "eagle-head" pommel

    Yes, it´s an German "Extra-Seitengewehr", ("dress-bayonet").

They came in two different blade-lenghts, also in different designs of the blade.
