    Well looking into this again. I see that the hilt has not been modified to fit the Commission 88 rifle. This pic is from the old-smithy site of the modification done to the hilt for it to fit the 88 rifle.

    What is this bayonet?

    I also noticed the kingshead maker mark of Weyersberg of Germany on the ricasso of the blade.

    Some more research is needed for this one.
