    yes, they do get kind of addictive, they feel nice in my hands, feels more like a sword than a bayonet.

    I don't have a Bayonet , but I do have the Ottoman Turkish sword from which the name comes . Hope you all like it .

    No not an exact date , I would guess early to mid 1800's . There is some silver inlay on the blade and an old repair to the Ricasso .
    I'll see if i can get some clear shots of inlay and repair etc . Glad you like it .

    Here are a few more detail shots . Also of interest is the handle , the pommel is winged with two flared sections would seem to wrap around the wrist when swung low , maybe for use on horseback .
