ww1 bayonet, need identification help!
Article about: Got this from my uncle for christmas, his wife is of german decent and came from her aunts husband. I assume he is german as well but am not 100% sure of this bayonets country of manufacture

As Glenn has said, a 2nd model 1892 Berthier bayonet that had the quillion shortened @1/2" in 1915, making what we collectors call an 1892/15 Berthier bayonet.

thanks so much for the info guys! photos were just taken by my ipad dosent do justice at all. overall in quite good condition blade especially scabbard shows minor rust and so does the metal around grip and locking mech. Blade dosent look polished, scabbard definetly did its job over the last 100 years.

i already answered,its a Chatellerault production carbine probably with AC serial prefix.
