WW2 utillity knife?

Hey guys. I have had this knife for a very long time. I've tried to look it up, but nothing has come up. I asked one of my friends who also collects. Oh, and on the blade, it reads western boulder colo made in usa.

I have a blade like this, and all i can tell you is that I dont think its military. Though i may be wrong.

Not military, they are typically known as a pruning knife or tool.
Sometimes called a 'Hawkbill'.

There is a US Navy knife from the WWII era that has a rectangular blade, and looks
quite similar to these, known as a 'Rope Knife'. The real difference - other than
the blade shape - is that they have a bail (wire loop) attached to the thick
end of the grip.

If these knives have wooden handles they are older than the 70's more than likely,
and might be late 40's - 50's. The handles of later, more recent knives are made
of smooth or wood-grained plastic.

For one who collects knives, they are an interesting addition to the collection.

^ I do collect pocket knives. I have over 150. But the grips on mine look like celluloid. I'm not sure if thet are though.

70's is old? Damn, I must be a dinosaur-
It is a typical Utility pruning knife as was said here. Still available new in stores for about 3 dollars.
