    Greetings all,

Here are several examples of WWII German made tool knives or combination fighting knives. Puma and at least one other company (trade mark “S”) made these variants. The handles’ materials may be constructed from early plastics, wood, and even antler (Stag). The circled area in the picture on the right is an area, which usually cracks from shrinkage on the plastic handled variants and should be inspected closely when contemplating a purchase as it will obviously affect value/pricing. The pictured Stag handled "S" trademarked variant is from page 149 of The Military Knife & Bayonet authored by Homer Brett. I don't own one of those yet;-)

    Regards,

Super knives - cool bordering on subzero temperatures and the best of two worlds: a dagger AND a 'Swiss' army knife. must have come in handy in the trenches.
Very interesting - good thread. Thanks for sharing.

    Congrats !

Also have such a tool-knive in my collection.

There´re some different variations made in WWII.
Among them a variation with a tool, marked with PATRONENHEBER MG 34

    Greetings all,

I saw this damaged knife today, this is the same knife type as the 2nd knife (with white circle) of my OP it can be seen here @ Stewart's Military Antiques - - German Post WWI Fighting/Utility Knife, Tools in Handle - $435.00 It is an illustrative example of how the early plastics used for handles’ materials does not always hold up well to use and the ravages of time.

And here's a current made reproduction. It appears unmarked.
