1940 RAF MKII with its original netting
Last one for the day unless anyone is interested in seeing more. I rarely get to dig into the collection these days.
This MKII belonged to a member of the RAF who was invalided out during the war. I also have their kit bag and water bottle which are named.
The interesting thing about it is that it retains its original wartime helmet net and what appears to be a gas protective or leather cover underneath the netting.
Its all un-messed with and I wouldn't dare remove the cover to investigate further.
The liner is a 1940 Teddy Toy Company example.
Hope you like it
