I was comparing the 2 helmets from WW2 but we can also do the same for WW1.
What makes you think the M16 was better?

the WW1 Adrian helmet feels like a mild steel almost like a flimsy old coffee can, worst helmet of WW1

looks good on the parade ground but not a good combat helmet
