Article about: Hi, Do the 4 bolts around the rim also hold the liner in, in some way? I would'nt have thought they would have left the 4 bolts in doing nothing.

Hi Steve, it is held by the Intelligence Corps Museum.

Hi Tinlid, I cannot recall now how the liner fixed in place. When I next go back, I will look.

    Cheers, Ade.

Hi Ade, regarding the bolts that hold the liner in place on the fibre rim RAC helmet. I have just bought a fibre rim RAC helmet, & it is held in place the same way as a Mk2 army helmet, or the non fibre rim RAC helmet. It does'nt have the 4 bolts like a para helmet, just 2 rivited chin strap lugs. Hopefully I should get it in a couple of days & will post pics. Aaron

Great news Aaron. You've done well this month !
I saw the photos last night. Now we know how the liners were fixed.

    Regards,
    Steve

Hi Guys, The way the liner is fixed in, was just how i thought it must go. But of course there are no pics or info hardly anywhere, apart from the pics that Ade put on. Pretty sure there will be no yellow blob of paint steve. Aaron.
