Hi, great helmet. My brother in laws father was airborne forces and fought at Arnhem. A few years ago he died and my sister and her husband went to help clear out the attic and sheds for his mother. They found his para helmet with his name inside, his denison smock and trousers, his army pay book,a browning 9m pistol in its holster,a small pistol believed german in a small black holsterwith a pocket on the side along with a magazine, knowing that i collected militaria my sister promptly threw away all the items into skip except for the pistols which she handed into a local police station, what a nice family member eh.Oh forgot to mention, she had great pleasure in telling me all this, but im not bitter about it, MUCH!!!!!

Here's another British Airborne helmet. It's made by BMB and is the Mk2 pattern. Both the helmet and the liner are dated 1953. This one was was purchased from a well known dealer in Stockport who purchased it straight from the veteran who wore it during the Suez crisis.

There is a large dent in the back of the helmet where the wearer banged his head on landing and promptly knocked himself out. There is a name inside the helmet, so I may try to reasearch it in the future. Even these helmets are getting rather expensive now!
