Unfortunately this ones not mine but a friends, a MkI* with a 37 dated liner. Malta camo' with painted over flash on the side with an early woven net.
Here's an official photo of the Sicily landings in July 1943 which shows beach master Lieut' H. Seeley with an early type net.
Here's an army Mk2, shell made by F&L dated 1940, liner by J.C.S.& W Ltd & also dated 1940 with what looks like an Dobson & M Browne & Co Ltd net.
Not strictly a helmet net but any excuse to show a fibre rim HSAT then I think it's worth it.
