you are lucky to find one in such a big size ,they generally seem to turn up in about a 7,it took me some time to find a 7 and a 1/2 to use on my bike and I think the largest I have seen is a 7 and 5/8

Is that an Aussie conversion HSAT fibre rim I see before me? The paint always looks nice & fresh on these

What date is your HSDR, I think they went over to the darker brown colour in late 43 or sometime in 44.
The fibre rim DR helmet started in 42 as all the fibre rims did, then I think it was sept' when they went over to riveting the the liners in.
I also have a fibre rim HSRAC, armoured troops one.

G'day Aaron you've seen and replied on my Helmet British Para 2nd Patt
and I have heard that this one is an Aussie conversion- re removal of the leather chinstrap.
