British Home Guard Helmet?

Hi,
Here's a picture of the home guard in Disley Cheshire, notice the newly issued helmets. Also the difference in the ages, some young boys & some older gentlemen who no doubt fought in the 1st World War.

The Home Guard were issued grade 2 helmets in January 1941 receiving 700,000 of them by July 1941, for Home Guard use they were painted khaki instead of grey for civilians.
