Whatever its just an opinion.
Thanks Jerry, didn’t realise it was on EBay.
The seller, a lady from Denmark, contacted me to see if I could help her re identification of the helmet.
....any chance of pics of the helmet.....I can’t find it on EBay.

The liner is a dilapidated MkII liner.
All speculation, the Danish had a UNEF contingent in Sharm el Shiek in 1959, it's not a great leap of imagination for what Beer-Dogs could refer to.
Ex British MkII, possibly used by the Egyptians, turned into a mess trophy?
It's a slow day at work....
Thank you Sherlock.....
...and there was me thinking it was Bomb Explosive Equipment Regiment - Demolition Ordinance "G" Squadron...... but of course, it can't be as they wore a single star on each side, well, up until 1959 when Regs changed and they switched to a single red bar across the front. That coincided with their change-over to the Mk4/5 helmet of course and with it, a change of helmet base colour from White to Primrose Yellow...although some folk called it Burnt Sienna which lead to the Squadron getting the nickname "the Daffodils" ..which in itself is odd as the Daff is more commonly associated with the Welsh folk...but they didn't have "B.E.E.R.D.O.G.S."...they adopted a smaller team approach to the such work and they wore red Mk4/5s...with Leeks.......
..but you MIGHT be right....... :-)
