British Mk2 Brodie helmet

Hey everyone!

I found a brodie helmet, the owner said it was an original British Mk2 brodie helmet but I'm not sure if it's a fake or an original because it looks pretty new and the color does not seem normal to me either.

I'm no expert, but I think it's either unissued (or at least seen extremely little use), or a nice post war repaint.. The stampings all make up. A.M.C = Austin Motor Co Ltd Cowley and they made helmets in 1941. The shell at the very least is original

Looks to have had a post war repaint.

That cross stitching style on the liner and post-war repaint may point to potential Dutch use.

As the Mk3 elasticated chin strap was issued from 1941, most likely not.

Thanks for the info, I didn't know that.

In regards to the cross stitching on the liner, is this style seen on British made examples? I can't recall ever seeing this style on British or Australian liners I have had in hand.
