Hi,
I can buy this beautiful (in my opinion) MK 2 helmet. The only strange thing is for me the color (pink/sand). In your opinions it can be an early Afrika front helmet?
Shell is marked 1940 and liner too...

Hi, I like the look of this one, the corrosion matches well both inside and out across the two different layers of paint. I would have no problem with this one being an original tan over paint. Leon.
I agree with Leon!..
For me to looks like a original over paint
Seems you've found yourself a real nice tin here!
Hi,
thaks guys, but in your opinion it can be an Afrika front helmet?
Thanks in advanced

I would need to see an close up picture of the actual paint, has it been repainted? Or is it just the original factory textured paint that has discoloured over the years.
Here is some close up. Under the pink/sand color is visible a brown color more dark (the same of the inside color)
Your opinions?
As I said on WAF, to me it looks like a standard army MKII that has been stored badly . The outer, rough, non-reflective khaki paint has been affected making it look lighter than normal.
... but under the kaki color there is a brown color... then I ask why..
