Article about: This here is well out of my comfort zone, I'm trying to get more info and better pictures on it but would need the OK from you guys, if its possible from these pictures?

    A South African MK2 helmet, with what looks like a British liner. Paint looks very similar to post war Norwegian civil defence.

    Are the holes in the back for the neck / gas / sun shield, do you know?

    technically the holes were for the string from which a sun "curtain" hung...rarely seen though....

    Indeed a South African MkII with a post war Dutch liner and a Norwegian coat of yellow paint (CD use).

    Norway acquired Dutch made liners and refurbished MkII,s in the fifties.
