British ParaTrooper Helmet WW2?

Hello Folks, I just bought this helmet today at a local surplus store. I noticed the date, 1945 and got excited that it was from ww2, so please tell me I did good.Thanks.

I think its a despatch riders helmet? Lets wait to see the experts opinions.

It's is a very nice DR helmet of the latest model, made by Brigg's Motor Bodies. It is not a helmet for airborne troops, although it was used thus by the Dutch airborne troops in the post war years in Indonesia.

Nice! I envy the fact that you found this in a surplus store... many of the stores around me sell items that are brand new or made for paintball/airsoft. Good find!
