British ww2 helmet.

I have a ww2 NFS helmet with two red bands and the number seven on the front. Can anyone tell me more about this helm?

I am not familiar myself with that description maybe some one can help a picture will help to see what it is. I notice title says British helmet if so I would post it in the Allied headgear section as there are a lot of British helmet guys there. timothy

I think it is a National Fire Service helmet and the two bands mean Senior Fire Officer the 7 will be the area number , a photo would be good if possible

Sounds like an NFS Section leader, fire force 7, whose FF HQ was in Derby.
