Dug these back out again today. Looking to trade them but I'd like to get an understanding of their value first so I can trade fairly.
Could any of you help me out?

    Thanks kindly!

They are both Canadian made. Not sure on value, except I have paid very little for mine. Cheers

The Market on Canadian Mk II helmets has changed and evolved quite a bit in the last year or so helmets like these were fetching $65.00 or $75.00 Canadian on E-bay but most examples now if complete with original chinstraps, liners and liner retention nuts and bolts are selling for a $100+Cdn now more or less.
As to the the condition they look fairly good 1943 was the last production year for the Canadian Mk II so they are a little more desirable IMO your 43 looks to be a depot refurb as I can see the brush strokes in the paint it looks to have been painted in a flat olive green which was one of the two war time approved colors that were adopted by the Canadian Army it is thought by some that this particular color was adopted to tone down them semi gloss paint that was applied at the factory you may find this thread helpfull in your research and here is an example of a Canadian Mk II from my collection that has as well been depot repainted the only differance being mine is a 1941 dated C.L./C.

Wow, Thanks so much, Mark. That's exactly what I was looking for. I'll read through that thread presently!

Is there any chance that there could be markings inside the helmet that are obscured by the liner?
If so, is there any best practices I should observe in removing the liner? It's just the one screw on top, right?

The only stamps and or markings found on the inside of the helmet body could be a C-/l\ stamp so no reason to disassemble them IMO.

No worries you are most welcome the wardens helmet is interesting as it started out its career as a CD helmet and looks to have been refurbed at the depot as well and then put back into active service.
