    Canadian Sand Textured Mk II as produced by ( 'G.S.W.' ) General Steel Wares this particular helmet is dated 1942, steel lot batch A P
    It is sporting a 1942 dated ( VMC ) Viceroy Manufacturing Company liner in a size of 7 1/8 .' and named to a one Martin Hicke, Bayard ( L-466126 ) of Henry Saskatchewan, HQ Coy.
    The service number suggests Henry was likely with a reserve unit located in Military District 12, Saskatchewan.

    As it does not specifically state this is only about WWII MKII's or similar types.....

    Two MKI*'s which do get in......and one wartime HSAT with post war repaint and one post war HSAT with camo paint

    Here's a new one. The identity of the flash is still debateable, but it may be the 5th battalion of the Dorset home guard (Weymouth ) . If anyone knows for sure, I would love to hear from them. Note the messy fingerprints on the underside of the rim .

    A brown and green camo that only really shows in sunlight. I suspect it may be home-guard , but am not entirely sure. I seems to have had a square flash at one time that was subsequently camouflaged.

    Camo clearly shows up well, shame about the flash. Interesting that helmet is dated 1940 with an Mk2 chin strap lug, when the Mk3 lugs came into use early in 1939.
