Help Identifying this British type helmet please
Purchased this helmet from a blurry type picture and now I am playing ID the purchase. The chin strap is a two parts and the clasp pushes together. It has a rim but the attachment for the bails is different to any other I have seen.
Anyone able to throw some light on this please?

Maybe it is common as dirt but I have not seen one exactly the same.

Hi,
It's a Dutch helmet, virtually a copy of the British MkII, I think they used them in the 50's or 60's.

Thanks to you all for the input.
I really wish this thing could talk. You have to wonder how/why a Dutch civil defence helmet ended up in Virginia. It could be as simple as a surplus buy from a vacationing tourist but in its 55year life who knows how many twists and turns to end up here.
