an interesting fact regarding this set is that it was manufactured by G & S ( Gimson & Slater ? ), not by BMB , the company normally associated with this type of body protection. it could be though that Briggs supplied the metal bits and G & S finished the product with the upholstery ! the main three components have individual , what are I assume , part number / letters stamped on them. given the number of sets allegedly produced it is surprising that only a small number , relatively of course, survived. probably something to do with re-cycling and making Hillman cars etc. in the post-war years !
