Hi,

I don't think this helmet was used for the raid on Dieppe. The insignia is bigger than the others found on Dieppe.

But, I know 2 helmets of F.M.R on wich insignia is the same than yours, found in Nomrandy (Falaise)

If your helmet is good, it probably a POST Dieppe insignia.

My many thanks toutfou the size of the flash was brought to my attention on a different forum and I am quite happy with it as a WW II period piece even if it is later than the Dieppe Raid.
It would be helpful if you could post some images of the helmets from Falaise (Normandy) I for one would love to see them.
