Can anyone shed some light on what kind or type of liner this is? The liner is in a British WW1 helmet
Thank,
Marty

An original WW2 helmet, made primarily for factory workers. Very basic in construction, no liner, just rubber sorbo, no nut and bolt, no chin strap lugs.
It is in a British Chaplains helmet, would that be correct.

Well, it is civilian use only really.
Unusual tin hat
Have a look at this post.
Cheers,

I think I’ve seen this one on EBay....with some papers.....??
As Tinlid says, these are commercially made Helmets for the public and factory workers...theoretically anyone might’ve had one. The liner is simply a ring of sponge-type / Sorbo material and a circular crown pad of the same....
Is it yours?
