I hope old mate on the left had the safety on with his Bren. It's pointed right at the back of the guy in front.
Maybe he wasn't a very popular Lieutenant (That's 'Leftenant' )

Well, the holy grail has arrived, an Malta camo with an flash of the Royal Artillery to both sides.
Very worn, but very much original.
Both shell & liner are dated 1941, liner made by FH.
To me it looks like a Malta camo was applied, then over painted again with another Malta camo.
Two for the price of one.

Well Done Aaron you must be ecstatic I would be dancing a jig right now with out a doubt a top shelf helmet . I love the well worn look patina and crazing to the paint the Artillery flashes are just killer looks to have spent some time out in the elements is it a little sun bleached ?

    Regards Mark

That was my opinion as well Aaron there are the tell tale signs of helmet stacking a bit of a slight ring on the shell was it a wood work find by chance.

Got it off the net, so have no history to where it has been since the war.
