Yep, no doubt that is a MKI* with flash. The WW1 rim shape is so distinctive.

Well, here's today's MKI*. It is a lovely MKI*/MKII hybrid issued to the Royal Artillery. The interesting thing about this one is all the brown paper stuffed up inside the liner (presumably as insulation or padding) and the mysterious small label stuck inside the rim If anyone has any ideas what the label is for, I would love to hear .

The only thing I can add about the label, Motor Transport, Heavy Regiment.
I was going to say that shelf must be groaning under the weight, and who has two Mk1* with RA flashes. Thats just greedy.
Another e-bay addition - nothing special - just a rather plain MKI* that has clearly had a hard life. Chinstrap lugs and liner 1938 dated, MKI shell by BS.
