Article about: A good condition G.S.W made Mk2 with it's original factory finish paint, it has an red F to the front for Fire/Fireman. As it was bought here in the Uk, I wonder if it was used by one of the

    A good condition G.S.W made Mk2 with it's original factory finish paint, it has an red F to the front for Fire/Fireman.
    As it was bought here in the Uk, I wonder if it was used by one of the 422 Canadians who came here during the war to fight fires due to bombing. Or is that a flight of fancy.
    But it must be remembered 3 members were killed while here helping us & another 3 seriously injured.
    Or it could have just been used in Canada only, & some how found it's way here.
    The shell is dated 1940, the VMC liner dated 1942.

    Very nice Aaron its in very good condition too, and im guessing these are quite uncommon?

    Great looking Helmet Aaron,these Canadian mk2's seem to survive better with age than our homegrown types,or does it just seem that way......
