Cruize visors were the idea of Sir Richard R.Cruize during the first World war to reduce eye injuries.

This type which I think is a Mk3, had limited use with the military as they were found to be unpopular with the troops.
They were then palmed off for use on the home front.

Very nice, and if it's alright to say, I'm very jealous, I missed out on one of these few yes ago and still regret it.

Not had one before, so have nothing to compare with,
What does the internal bracket bit look like?

...been searching for a pic but can't find one (and no, it's NOT in the book! :-) )...but I've seen a Y-shaped bracket which goes to the central liner bolt...and fans out to the inner of the Visor....perhaps I'm wrong...I ain't got one either but I decided against the one I saw because the bit I THOUGHT that should be there wasn't......if you follow me....

    I'll keep looking....

Lovely helmet, Aaron. Nice to see one still attached to an Army lid.

It should be said that various different versions of this visor are known. I remember Marcus getting excited about a slightly earlier version at the last Beltring. Unfortunately there is very little collector information out there to compare them with.
