A standard home guard Mk2 helmet which is a No.2C, but is painted in the same way as an normal army helmet, textured khaki green outside & smooth shiny inside.
There were about 700,000 of these No.2's issued to the home guard, but are quite hard to come by.
The shell is dated 1941 & made by BMB, easy to see on the shiny smooth paint but at about this time they also painted them textured paint inside as well which makes it hard to see dates/maker names.
The liner is dated 1940 & made by TTC.
