Mk2. Shelter Warden.

White painted for an officer in the wardens service who worked in one of the many shelters.
The shell I think is a BMB 1939, liner is the same.

Aaron, do you think all shelter wardens had SW on their helmets or might it be like post warden, some with PW but mostly just W?

I don't know, were they all white helmeted, are there black helmets with white SW.There were also shelter marshals.

That a really nice and I would think very hard to find helmet.

I don't know if there is a difference between a Shelter Warden and a Shelter Marshal, I would think it is a local difference, but the white helmet does imply that there would be subordinate levels.
